Shaun Of The Trek - Simon Pegg Cast As Scotty!
Well, Mr. Abrams has officially got my $10 in his grubby pockets with the announcement that Simon Pegg, best known for his leading roles in SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ, will be cast as Scotty in the STAR TREK prequel.
I’m having a bit of trouble trying to imagine Pegg with a thick Scottish accent, but I have no worries that Pegg won’t be able to pull it off. This could be the role that really gives Pegg the worldwide recognition that he deserves, and maybe, just maayyyybe, someone here in the US will actually put his brilliant BBC comedy “Spaced” on DVD.
…and is it too much to hope for a Nick Frost cameo as a tribble?
