The singer is currently on her latest tour, and there have been a few problems the last few days. First off, she canceled her show in Detroit on Friday for production constraints, and her Monday night show in Montreal was also canceled at the very last moment when Jackson became ill during soundcheck and was rushed to an unnamed hospital. LL Cool J was her opening act.

There is no word on just what her condition is at this time, but all the best to her on a quick recovery. She might also reschedule her next stop on her tour as well. This news comes only a week after Jackson parted ways with her record company, Island Def Jam Records.

Back on Saturday, actress Heather Locklear was arrested for driving under the influence in Santa Barbara. Alcohol wasn’t a factor, but she was under the influence of prescription medication. The cops didn’t actually see her driving. An eyewitness called in and reported that the actress was driving erratically in a parking lot. She was arrested when cops arrived on scene. They never saw her driving themselves.

The actress was in Santa Barbara spending the weekend with Jack Wagner, her boyfriend. You might remember these two had a hot and heavy on screen romance during the 1990s on Melrose Place. If rumors are true, Melrose Place might be hitting television again on CW. They are in talks to bring the series back after they saw the way things have gone with 90210. Will Heather and Jack take their romance back on screen?

Male hearts are breaking all over the world this morning. Scarlett Johansson has officially married fiance Ryan Reynolds last night in Vancouver. People Magazine was the first to break the news last night. The couple began dating in February 2007 shortly after Reynolds broke off his engagement with singer Alanis Morissette.

This is the first marriage for the two of them. It is said to have been an intimate ceremony just outside of Vancouver, and a representative for the actor has indeed confirmed that the two are married. Best of luck to the both of them! May they live a long happy life together.

 The Lohan world continues to turn, and now Lindsay Lohan is looking for protection for her father Michael. This isn’t all too surprising because both her mother Dina and her sister Ali already have orders of protection from the man.

What drove Lindsay to this point? Apparently, his attacks on her about her relationship with DJ Sam Ronson are only getting worse instead of better. None of the Lohan’s will talk to Michael until things change.

As far as I am concerned, as long as Lindsay is happy and has found love with Samantha, there is nothing for Michael to be upset about. Of course, he doesn’t agree with that way of thinking. What do you think?

Earlier this summer, the Transformer actor, Shia LaBeouf, was in a car accident in Hollywood. Pictures of his overturned car ended up online, and he injured his hand. For a time, there was worry that the actor would lose one of his fingers. At the time of the accident, it was suspected that the actor had been driving under the influence.

Now, he will not be charged. In fact, the only charges in this case will be filed against the other driver. This is great news for the actor, and just in time too. He has a new film out today, Eagle Eye. Perhaps he will celebrate with that movie taking tops at the box office this weekend.

A case where politics meets the entertainment world. Senator John McCain announced on Wednesday that he was suspending his presidential campaign to focus on the financial crisis facing the country at the moment. This has raised some eyebrows, and Obama has had his own thoughts on this stepping back by the Republican candidate.

With McCain suspending his campaign, the senator has canceled some of his appearances. One of them being an appearance that was set to take place last night on David Letterman. This caused Letterman to make a few cracks at the senator for not appearing as scheduled.

Thursday morning on the Today Show, one of McCain’s staff spoke out about the cancellation. He said right now McCain’s focus is on the crisis. Letterman said Sarah Palin should take over campaigning for the time being while McCain helps deal with the issues facing our country. Would Letterman have welcomed an appearance last night by Sarah Palin instead? Certainly sounds like it!

In most cases when it comes to custody, the child stays with the mother. This hasn’t been the case with some celebrity mothers. Britney Spears lost custody to her two boys at one time, and now another celebrity mother has lost custody of her child to their father.

Actress Sharon Stone has lost custody to her eight year old son, Roan, to his father Phil Bronstein. It appears the decision was made earlier this month in court. The court papers say that Stone failed to meet the burden of proof. This decision is permanent unless something changes.

This one has me puzzled. What did she have to prove to the courts that she failed to do? I’ve never been a fan of sole custody. A child has two parents. Custody should be shared.

Just yesterday, the buzz around the Spears family was the investigation surrounding the possible sale of pictures of Jamie Lynn that showed her breasts. She was breastfeeding in the pictures. Not long after that news broke, Britney had some news of her own.

The first single off her soon to be released CD is going back for some work. Womanizer was suppossed to hit radio stations on Monday, but it was pulled back for remixing. Womanizer will be the first song of Circus, which Britney plans to release on her birthday December 2. Hopefully, there are no more delays and the release moves forward as scheduled.

News from the Spears camp today is that some recent pictures of Jaime Lynn Spears have been stolen and are now on sale. Her boyfriend and the father of her baby girl took in a roll of pictures to Wal-Mart for developing. The pictures on the roll included one of her breast feeding.

When the person behind the counter saw what they had, they decided to try and sell them. Now there is a federal porn investigation under way because Jamie Lynn is a minor. Britney Spears is even threatening to sue the store! If it isn’t one thing it is another with this family.

New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez is now able to do what he wants with his life as a free single man. His divorce from his wife has been handled quietly and between the two of them. His wife asked for a property in Florida and for support for the couple’s two daughters.

Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce three months ago after there was mention of an affair between the baseball player and Madonna. Alex had even called Madonna his true soulmate.

It appears this was handled in the best possible way for all parties involved. Rodriguez will continue to support his two daughters, aged at three and five months. Florida is a no-fault divorce state, so the affair never came into play in the proceedings.
