A few days ago I wrote about Eric Dane’s supposed sex tape. No, still no actual sex, but a lot of nudity and good times. Apparently more has come to light about this sex tape. It was turned into the Los Angeles Police Department back on July 30th, and it was being investigated for possible criminal activity by the parties on the tape. It was during this investigation that the tape was leaked on the Internet.

You do have to wonder just how tight the security is at the LAPD. I’ve heard of other problems they have had in recent months. Weren’t Michael Jackson’s medical records taken by some that worked in the coroner office. It doesn’t look like Eric Dane has been too bothered by the release of this tape on the Internet. He was seen out on Thursday morning after having breakfast at King Road’s Cafe. The investigation is still on-going.

The LAPD was in the process of reviewing the voluminous files contained on the DVD when the story was leaked to the media. No determination has been made as to whether or not the DVD contained any information that could be used for a criminal investigation. Some of the information contained on the DVD included archived articles and photographs of porn stars and formally convicted madams, which could readily be found over the Internet.
